Summary
It starts out when Jason loses his memory and ends up in a wilderness school with a girl named Piper and his good friend Leo. While they are trying to figure out what is going on and trying (somewhat) to to do a assignment at the grand canyon they are attacked by storm spirits. The three kids are demigods which is half human and half god. Their teacher Mr. Hedge is a satyr which is half goat and half human. They do defeat them and are extracted back to camp without Coach Hedge because he was captured. They were taken because Annabeth a girl in the book is in a mad search for her boyfriend Percy Jackson. When they get there they are claimed by their godly parent and are suppose to do a quest to save Hera queen of the gods. They get started off by trailing clues they are getting while flying on a big bronze dragon named festus. They are flying around killing monster, seeing family, trying to get Jason's memory back, while doing the quest. Later they find Hera incaged by a cage that is powerful enough to trap a god like her. She tells them that the giants worse then titans are rising and will destroy all the gods. They have a big fight scene around the cage when they are ambushed by the ice queen and storm spirit army and wolf army. Then after leo starts to rip the cage open using tools while piper talks to it to make it stop swalling hera. The only way hera will live is if she marries the giant that is raising now. She refuses to marry the giant that has just risen and Jason goes to take on the giant (or atleast stall it) so Leo can get the cage open. Moments later while Jason is fighting the giant Leo pops open the cage, the giant vanishes and Hera goes supernova to kill all the monsters around. Leo, Piper, and Jason are suppose to turn there eyes but jason doesnt and gets burnt. He lives and they all go back to camp and family.

He grabbed the golden coin from his pocket. With a quick flip it turned into a sword. Pg 92
- He had a coin from the start that with one flip would turn into either a sword or a spear to fight off evil monsters that tried to kill him.
"No," Clovis agreed. "Your mind wasn't wiped, and you memories werent burned. They've been stolen. pg 103
- This is explaining now both why he woke up with no memory on the bus and why he must find Hera because he wants his memory back.
Coach Hedge did the obvious thing thing. He raised his club and shouted, "Die!" pg 348
- Coach was later rescued by the kids but that didnt change his spirts of him being a crazy goat that doesnt care if they win the war, he just wants to kill all the enimies.
Hera glowed brighter. She shouted, "Cover your eyes, my heroes!" pg 512
- If you see a god go supernova you will be istantly vaporized on the spot. So jason was stearing at her when it happened and he took damage from it. Someone how lived so this means he is very powerful.
I liked the book it wasnt bad it keeps you on the edge of you toes and you will always find a character that relates to you. This book is a giant success towards me because i love greek mythology they have a amazing and always fun detailed background. If i was a critique i would give this book 5 stars.
A alternate ending
a alternate ending i could give this book is that at the very end. when jason was knocked out. He would of died and it would of been up to Percy to revive him in the next book. And instead of Melline, the storm spirit who helped them, was later found by the god she betrayed and was killed. Then coach hedge would of wanted revenge so he goes after him and he dies too. When Percy saves Jason the giant comes back and they take him down together.
